The video game cheats idea was a failed attempt. There is such a ridiculous amount of work involved, it would take forever anyways. Almost a year working at it has yielded little results, and unfortunately it will be discontinued.

As for the rest of the site, I'm not sure yet. Most of it is underpowered and underused. I'm going to do a site evaluation soon and see what is still usable and what is not. For sure the following items will stay:

-Games
-Chatroom
-Funnies
-Any site-related links

Also to my dismay, advertising will be going up in order to support new web hosting costs. Most of these will be Google Adsense ads and will not impair the website in any way.

We might be pulling in new website features soon, I'll be looking around for cool new things to add to the site.

Suggestions are always welcome :].

Momentary downage

Monday night, all of Tuesday, and Wednesday until about 10 minutes ago, the site was down. Our registration expired and even though I went in to renew it, issues with the domain registration did not register the domain, and Lukeishere stayed down. It should be fully working as of now.

I'm slowly becoming saddened over the fact that my website can't progress as much as I want to. Busy times and once again unreliable internet has made it really hard. I'm going to throw in an update before I start video game cheats again. I'm estimating those will be finished later and later, right now I really don't know the full extent of the project, sadly. I'm estimating late March right now. Bummer.

I've been slowly loosing hope of ever finishing the VGC. But I'm still trying. Wish me luck :].

Current status of lukeishere

Due to the enhanced unreliabilty of Cox Internet, the lukeishere website has fell into wonderful remains.

When it DOES work, I try to do what I can. However the internet is just being crap.

Something I prayed would never happen, was let this site go untouched. Sadly, it's happening. Don't get me wrong, we're not closing up, we're still going. But not going full speed. How unfortunate.

Doubts about the video game cheats

My internet, once again, has become increasingly less reliable, and so thus has made working on the video game cheats much more harder. In addition to that, my time has been greatly crunched by school and other events going on in the house, and decreased computer time as well.

More than likely I will not be able to finish them by Christmas. My current estimates put it at around Febuary, at the earliest. Constantly having to do the same action, again and again, is getting really frustrating.

Maybe there is someone out for hire? I'll see if I can get someone from Dreamhost to do something, or another company. We'll see.

Push it to the limit

This is really my limit, doing these video game cheats. And it's not just those, it's all of these other factors: My entire website, school, a job, homework, a school website, and a D-Group website. It's not so tough, it's just so time consuming and overwhelming. I'll finish it, but not for a few months. It is so much more work than I thought it would be. I'll keep updating here, so that everyone is into what I'm doing.

I will DEFINITELY not be done in time for school. There are over 1.500 games for PS2, and I will be dead when it is done. I'm working to my fullest ability and as much as time allows, but I just can't do it. I'll keep working, but I'll be lucky if I finish it in the next month. I'm starting PS2, it has the most games for any platform. I'll get that out of the way so I can be done with it. I'll also be taking weekends off. Right now I can do just about one letter of cheats a day. Yes, that's how slow it is. Soon I'll be pulling an all-nighter, because 1) I REALLY need to work on this and 2) I need to reset my body's clock so that it doesn't take me 3 hours to go to sleep at night, for school, and that I don't wake up in the afternoon and go to bed in the morning.

So yeah. Fun. But I'll be throwing a party when this is done. Like I'll get everyone a gift card on my website or something. IDK.

Wow, doing these video game cheats is harder than I thought! I started Thursday on Nintendo 64, and it's Saturday now, and I only have A-Q done! My new assistants are on vacation (bummer) but they might be back in time to help. I might be able to finish before school starts if I go really fast, but there's only 15 days until school starts, and judging at the rate I'm going I won't be done in time. Plus, there will be a LOT more for platforms like Playstation 2, which have more games. Ugh...

Blowing off the dust.....

It's been more than 7 months since I've last used this blog, but that will not be the case anymore. I hope to be posting on here in my free time, if any. A lot has been going on in the website, with a new template, remastered sections, lots of updating. Bummer though, that's there's only a few weeks until school starts and then I'll be covered in homework. I definitely think this has been a more productive summer for Lukeishere, especially since the last summer, where I zoned the whole time (but I was on vacation a lot though).

I still plan to get Video Game Cheats up, I haven't touched it for a few months. It's mostly because I'm not a big video game person. Of course, I do play some GTA and some little video games, but I've been so out of whack with those I don't know what new games are coming out or not. So soon, I'll just copy every single game for every single platform I know. This would be the third time VGC has been remastered and redone. Cool.

What I'm really proud of is the online games section. THAT has made a great jump into the new age, going from about 50 games (after the "Lots" section was removed) to 100+ in under a few months. But more importantly, the way the page was redone, that was just amazing what I did. I can't give all the credit to me, though, as one of my new assistants, Bradley Pace, helped out a LOT with the coding in the columns of games. He's also a CSS master (CSS is what gives the look of the site, like fonts, color, and images) and helped me find the background image that took weeks alone just to find.

Man, those guys have been such a help, Bradley and Cole Edsund, they're my two new assistants. Without them, Lukeishere would be just like it was in the early days, nothing going on. We'd be ruins.

Sorry about the update thing Friday, I actually only got morning time and then I was gone for the rest of the day, so I couldn't get everything updated. However, that will only happen once and I will be able to get everything in this Friday.

Hey everyone. I thought I'd let you know what we're trying to do right now.

Right now we're trying to see if we can get this software called PHPFox. It's a program that you use to run a myspace type thing on your website. So in otherwords we will have our own version of Myspace that will be cleaner, faster, and better.

The only problem is that even with our discount, the software is still $225. WOW!! So what we might try to do is open up a fundraiser or something, because we need a lot of money. HELP!! LOL

If we were to get this software, BOY would our hits go up on lukeishere! And that would be mighty sweet.

But until then...

Idea for updating

Hey, I had this idea for updating stuff. I thought of it because I never really know when to update things (like has it been too long or too short?) and I sometimes forget about certain things. So I had an idea to update everything on a weekly basis, like every Friday (doesn't have to be Friday). I wouldn't be able to do it daily (wholly crap that would be a lot of work!) but maybe once a week would be cool.

I'm running this idea through my friend, Cori (she's a really good thinker), and then I thought, "Hey, what if I posted on the Webmaster's Blog and see what people think" and that's what I'm doing.

Legal Problems over...for now....

Ok, so I took the files off the main site, because I moved a couple sections over to a subdomain (including music and music files), so for the moment we're ok with the music files. Problems may come back but right now we are doing good.

Legal issues

I've been having a lot of legal issues with my music files, people are using them on their "Xanga" sites and on myspace's, it's getting really annoying because it's eating up my bandwith and it's illegal. The songs I provide are for private use and people are using it outside of private use. Sites like dogpile and mp3realm have been spidering my site for the songs, and I hope a robot.txt file will stop it.

And what also sucks is that I can't see who's myspace it is because it's in a subdomain. There's been 21 requests, meaning the site or sites have been viewed with my url 21 times. It could mean 21 sites or just one, I can't tell.

I might end up having to shut it down, it's poseing too much of a problem. I'll see what I can do. Hopefully it won't have to come to it.

Radio is actually updated

Yeah, today I added two songs to the radio. It's a miracle. It's been a while since I have, cause everyone makes requests for songs I've never heard of. But yeah, the two I got on there now are pretty cool.

Along with that, though, people are illegally linking my music on their site from the ones that you can download. It bugs me because of the fact that 1) People are requesting the music more that anything else and 2) IT'S ILLEGAL!!

So for those of you that are doing this, please stop. There is a new notice up saying if you hotlink it is a violation.

Group Mail

Ok, I got this really cool program, it's called GroupMail, and I got it because I wanted to start a Lukeishere Newsletter. And I'll admit, so I can spam people.

Anyways, I might put a form on the site where you enter your email address so you can sign up for the newletter. It'll be sweet.

Live Chat

A new live chat is coming to lukeishere, which will be live and you will be able to create a profile unique to lukeishere and be able to have an image. This system is very nice and I believe you would all like this system.

Also coming out soon is a section of pranks in the "funnies" and will also have some guidlines for the pranks. For example, don't do a prank on someone if it will hurt them or make them cry. Pranks are supposed to be good times, not bad ones.

So yeah, this is what I'm working on right now. Some updates will be coming to IM and hopefully I will be able to get the IM section up and running. Currently I am having problems obtaining the Yahoo Messanger Skins, but I am still looking and I will hope to have them soon. When I do get them I will get a lot.
